Cette double compilation du duo Arling & Cameron regroupe 37 titres issus des œuvres publiées au début de leur carrière, soit entre 1994 et 1998, à l’exception de deux morceaux tirés de la bande originale du film « Das Jahr der ersten Küsse » qui datent de 2002. Nombre de ces albums ou E.P. sont épuisés et relativement méconnus.
Ainsi on retrouve :
- 12 titres issus de l’album « Stereo Showcase » sorti sous le nom de groupe Popcorn en 1996 (soit quasiment l’intégralité de l’album, à l’exception des titres « Out Of Sight » et « Bla Bla Cha Cha (Dub) »). Cet album est pratiquement introuvable ;
- 14 titres extraits de la série de quatre EP « Easy Tune » : « Hapiness », « Pourquoi Pas » et « Beachboy » du Volume 1 ; « Lonely Christmas », « Blues Noël » et « Easy » du Volume 2 ; « Aloha !», « Easy Is The Remedy » et« Hatsjoe » du Volume 3 ; « Happy Bossa », « Rythm 55 », « Easyness », « Samba Loco » et « Make Love, Not War » du Volume 4 ;
- 2 titres tirés du « Best of Easy Tune » (1996) : « I Love Europe (single mix) » et « Liebesmelodie » ;
- 1 extrait de l’album « Airbag – A Tribute To Safety » (1994) ;
- et enfin 6 des 10 titres de l’album Sound Shopping (cf. ici).
Bref rien de neuf mais tout de même l’opportunité de retrouver quelques morceaux rares ainsi que les fondements de l’univers easy pop de Arling & Cameron : bien que datant de plus de dix ans, ces morceaux ont gardé toute leur fraîcheur et leur actualité !

This double compilation from Arling & Cameron gathers 37 tracks from their early works (between 1994 and 1998), except for 2 tracks issued from the O.S.T. of “Das Jahr der ersten Küsse” published in 2002. Many of these albums or EPs are out-of-print and relatively unrecognized.
So we find:
- 12 titles from the album « Stereo Showcase » issued under the moniker Popcorn in 1996 (almost the album in its entirety, except the 2 tracks « Out Of Sight » and « Bla Bla Cha Cha (Dub) »). This album is very hard to find;
- 14 excerpts from the four EP « Easy Tune » : « Hapiness », « Pourquoi Pas » and « Beachboy » from Volume 1 ; « Lonely Christmas », « Blues Noël » and « Easy » from Volume 2 ; « Aloha !», « Easy Is The Remedy » and « Hatsjoe » from Volume 3 ; « Happy Bossa », « Rythm 55 », « Easyness », « Samba Loco » and « Make Love, Not War » from Volume 4;

Well nothing new but the opportunity to listen again to rare tracks and to discover the origin of the easy pop universe of Arling & Cameron: even more than ten years old, these tracks are still refreshing and up-to-date!
